We recently hosted a Deep Learning Innovation Exchange with the Peel District School Boardâs Empowering Modern Learning (EML) EdTech Team. It was inspiring to witness the groundbreaking work happening in Peelâs schools, including their over 100 innovation projects and participation in two C21 Canada AI Use Case Projects.
Looking ahead, we are excited to announce our March Break Camp in partnership with Attach Forever STEM Kits! Running from March 10â14, 2025, this STEAM-powered camp will immerse young minds in AI, coding, robotics, 3D printing, and more. Limited spots are available, so be sure to register soon!
A special shoutout to Dr. Jie, whose recent workshop at MindShare Workspace brought invaluable insights on prioritization and mindset shifts. Your engagement and participation made the event truly impactful.

We had an incredible morning Last Friday by hosting a deep learning innovation exchange at the Mindshare Workspace with the Peel District School Board Superintendent of Innovation & Research, Bernadette Smith, and her Empowering Modern Learning (EML) EdTech Team.
Fascinating to learn they have over 100 innovation projects happening in Peel schools Canada's 2nd largest school districtâincluding two C21 Canada hashtag#AI Use Case Projects!
Collaboration, innovation, and digital transformation are shaping the future of education, and itâs inspiring to be part of these forward-thinking conversations. PeelsDSB is a District on the move! Kudos to the leadership and EdTech team for sharing their insights and passion in preparing our next generation leaders for a future that is complex and not clearly seen.

2. Partnership launched with companies in Mississauga, Scugog Island First Nation |

Itâs been a busy couple of years for Mississauga-based Cooper Equipment Rentals and Voyageur Services, an Indigenous majority-owned company headquartered in the Mississaugas of Scugog Island First Nation that specializes in the clean energy sector. The two companies entered into a strategic supplier agreement this month as Voyageur, which was founded just four years ago, has already earned several major contracts with Ontario Power Generation, including site preparation work at the Darlington nuclear plant for the small modular reactor project, a water treatment project â also at Darlington â and dredging work at the nearby Pickering nuclear plant. |

3. Government of Canada funds innovative projects providing skills training opportunities for more than 10,000 Canadian workers in key sectors of our economy

the Minister of Employment, Workforce Development and Labour, Steven MacKinnon, announced an investment of over $75 million through the Sustainable Jobs Training Fund to support eight projects across all regions of Canada. These projects will provide training opportunities for more than 10,000 Canadian workers, helping them gain the expertise needed for jobs in electric vehicle maintenance, green buildings and retrofits, low-carbon energy, and carbon management. The Minister made the announcement while visiting Mississauga-based AchÄv, an organization dedicated to workforce development and skills training.

City of Mississauga officials said Monday afternoon theyâve opened a Request for Expressions of Interest âto reimagine the Living Arts Centre and its surrounding lands.â The plan, they added, is to redevelop the cityâs largest performing arts and culture facility âinto a multi-functional hub for the arts, culture, tourism, business and events. |
